In its ninth annual conference, BlogHer ’13 brought together bloggers, experts and brands to talk marketing, technology, activism and more. The estimated 6000 attendees listened to advice from the likes of Sheryl Sandberg, Guy Kawasaki and Ree Drummond.
#Blogher13 quickly trended on Twitter, and we used the Cision Social Media Dashboard to take a deeper dive into the noise and see what all the chatter was about.
We began by running a topic analysis widget to see the number of total mentions during the span of the conference, July 25-27:

We also looked at the ‘Unique Source Count,’ which shows how many unique individuals were using the hashtag or conference name, and there were more than 9,000! That is quite the community.
Next, we looked at when the conversations spiked during the conference:

Conversations spiked the most around 1 p.m. on July 26, during the keynote conversation with Guy Kawasaki. Trailing right behind him are mentions during Ree Drummond’s and Sheryl Sandberg’s sessions, respectively.
